All the parts you can switch on

Switch on when you need it

Field Service & Dispatch

Who goes where, when, in which van — and the phone screen for the visit itself.

Still building. Everything a visit needs is built: the work order, the dispatch board, the phone screen, taking the money on the job, a visit against a piece of the customer's own equipment, a job that will not start without its safety check, and a figures screen of its own. Two things are narrower than they sound — the map of the day plots where people are rather than drawing streets, and payment on site is a link or a code the customer pays on, not a card reader in somebody's hand. What is listed below is what this part will do when it is finished.

“I text the crew the address the night before, and I find out what they used when the van is empty.”

Instead of: A scheduling board, a job app and a paper worksheet

Field Service turns a job you have sold into a visit somebody actually makes. A work order sits on the customer's own record with the address, the access notes, the lines and the checklist; a dispatch board puts it in somebody's day; and the person doing the work gets a phone screen with the checklist, the photos, the parts they used and the customer's signature. Because it is the same system as the quote, the contract and the invoice, the crew comes from your own schedule and the bill comes from the work.

What you get

  • A work order on the customer's own record, with the service address, the access notes and the lines
  • One job, as many visits as it takes, each with its own day, window and status
  • A board by the day or the week, a lane per person and per crew, that you drag a job onto
  • Clashes worked out from your own weekly schedule, approved time off, anything booked elsewhere in the workspace and the visits already placed
  • A clash you can accept on purpose, with your reason and your name kept against the visit
  • Ask who should go and get an ordered list with the reasons written out, never a score
  • How full each person's day is, and whether the work still waiting will fit
  • Job types that fill in how long it takes, which skills it needs and what to charge
  • Checklists you write once: tick, yes or no, a number, a note, a choice, a photo, a signature
  • Work that comes round again, raised for you when the last one is finished or ahead of time
  • A price changed on site by somebody who may not set prices is held for the office to check
  • Every status a visit has been in, with who moved it and when
  • Work orders and visits in the report builder, with planned times against what actually happened
  • Hours on site, parts used and the lines all end up on one bill, through the modules that already do those jobs

Who tends to switch this on

  • Anyone who sells a visit: somebody drives to a customer, does the work and gets signed off
  • Owners tired of a whiteboard, a group chat and three people phoning the same customer
  • Teams already quoting and invoicing here who want the day's work in the same place
