All the parts you can switch on

Safety & Inspections

Checklists your team fills in on a phone, and a record of what was found.

Still building. Everything about checks, incidents and follow-ups is built. What is not: the ties into your people and training records — an inspector being warned when a certificate has lapsed, a course going out to whoever was involved, and a case showing on somebody's HR profile. What is listed below is what this part will do when it is finished.

“The checks are on a clipboard in the van, and I find out something was flagged when it breaks.”

Instead of: A checklist app billed per person and a folder of paper walk-rounds

Safety & Inspections turns the walk round, the vehicle check and the five minutes before a job starts into something you can find again. Build a checklist once, with the questions you actually ask and a score if you want one, and it is frozen the moment you publish it — so an inspection filled in last March still shows the questions that were asked last March. A flagged answer is recorded as a flagged answer, with the photo somebody took of it. Anything about a person's health is kept behind its own permission, so the people who need to see it do and nobody else does.

What you get

  • A checklist builder with every kind of question a check needs: pass or fail, yes or no, a reading with a range, a photo, a signature, a person, a place, and words to read
  • Questions that only appear when an earlier answer calls for them, so a short check stays short
  • Scoring with a weight per question and a pass mark you set, and a plain list of what was flagged when you would rather not score at all
  • Published versions that are frozen, so editing a checklist never changes an inspection somebody already finished
  • Photos taken on the phone against the question they belong to, a signature at the end, and an optional second pair of eyes before it is closed
  • A report you can download or hand to a customer with a link, filed against the customer's own record
  • Checks that come round on their own — every week, every month, or on the days you pick — with a window to do them in and a word when one is missed
  • A phone screen of what is due today that keeps working with no signal, and sends everything the moment you have one again
  • A code to print for each place, so somebody standing there starts the right check without hunting for it
  • Incidents: an injury, a near miss or damage reported in four words, investigated, and closed, with an anonymous route for anyone who would rather not say who they are
  • A log laid out for your own official injury records, with the decision about what belongs on it left where it belongs — with you
  • Follow-ups from a flagged answer or a case, owned, dated, chased, and checked by somebody other than whoever did the work
  • Injury details kept behind their own permission, and a private case that leaves names off everything, downloads included
  • One price for your whole workspace, however many people carry out checks

Who tends to switch this on

  • Businesses whose crews check a place, a vehicle or a job before work starts
  • Anyone keeping their own records of what was checked and what was found
  • Managers who want the same questions asked the same way at every site
