Digital Cards
A card for everyone, and the people who tap it land on your list.
Everything below works today. Somebody leaving their details has to give an email address — that is how they are matched to the customers you already have, and a phone number on its own would start a second list that slowly disagrees with the first. A phone number is welcome as well. What is not built yet: a photograph is an address you paste rather than a picture you upload and crop, nothing writes an NFC tag for you from the browser, and we do not sell you the printed cards — the address is yours to send to whichever printer you already use.
“I come back from a trade day with forty business cards and type in maybe six of them.”
Instead of: A pocket of paper cards and a Monday morning of typing
Digital Cards gives each person a card they design: a template to start from, your own colours and typeface, and as many phone numbers, links, files and videos on it as you like. Somebody taps it, saves the contact to their phone, and — this is the part that matters — leaves their own details in return. That person becomes a record here, matched against the customers you already have, owned by whoever they actually met. The tag, the stand and the sticker each carry an address of their own that never changes: re-point one whenever you like, see what each earns on its own, and switch off a lost card so the next one takes over without reprinting anything.
What you get
- A card for each person at their own short address, built from details they have already typed once
- Tap, scan or click — a tag, a QR code and a link all point at the same card, so changing it changes all three
- Save to a phone as a proper contact, which every phone still reads
- The person who tapped leaves their own details and becomes a record here
- Matched against the customers you already have, so one person stays one person
- Owned by whoever actually met them, not dropped in a pile
- Who is worth calling first, worked out from what they did rather than when they did it
- Interest that cools on its own, so a contact from last year stops looking urgent
- A card you have not published does not exist to the world
- One price for your whole workspace, however many cards you hand out
Who tends to switch this on
- Anyone who comes back from a day out with a pocket of paper cards
- Teams whose people meet customers before the CRM ever hears about them
- Businesses tired of typing a business card into a computer on Monday
